"A breeze like the turning of a page..."

…fixed like a galaxy and memorized in her secret and fragile skies. Leonard Cohen
Speech after long silence; it is right,
All other lovers being estranged or dead,
Unfriendly lamplight hid under its shade,
The curtains drawn upon unfriendly night,
That we descant and yet again descant
Upon the supreme theme of Art and Song:
Bodily decrepitude is wisdom; young
We loved each other and were ignorant.
"The weight of the worldIt is a restless moment.
She has kept her head lowered,
to give him a chance to come closer.
But he could not, for lack of courage.
She turns and walks away.
That era has passed.
Nothing that belonged to it exists any more.

I've been looking at your lovely blog again and noticed the photo of Bistro 1900 on your side bar. I was there - right in that side window - in 2005 having Spaghetti Carbonara and my husband had rabbit. Thanks for reviving my memory!!!
O, these photos are sublime. Thank you for such a beautiful post.
Your images and choice of poetry and poets are lovely.
